I visited here over a period of 16 months Both my legs are in as bad a state as when I started. The Doctor has no desire to make my legs better even after telling me that they cannot be improved now after what they have done. Unfortunately in this area of medicine as we consent to the treatment even though you are left in a mess or your veins recur you cannot get compensation as the bad treatment stops short of negligence Apparently not being any good at the proceedures doesn't count as negligence so we are left having spent thousands of pounds in a terrible state and no one cares about it!! Certainly not these clinics who are raking the money in from gullible people. This may work for you but if it doesn't you are stuck!!

Response from Veincentre Manchester

I am really sorry that you feel this way. I can assure you that none of our Drs have no desire to make any of our patients’ legs better. That is the whole raison d’être of our business. Without knowing your details it is impossible to comment much further but your experience is vastly different to the majority of our patients who are delighted with the outcomes. We cannot and no clinic can ever please all of the people all of the time. We do warn all patients of the possibility of side effects and the realistic outcomes of treatment. We also inform them of the timescales of reaching the hoped for outcome.

I received ongoing treatment at this clinic. I am told by them that I am unlucky but I have been left with a permanent horrible discoloured lump on one leg and numerous smaller marks on the other. Not worth all the money and aggravation

Response from Veincentre Manchester

I am sorry that you are yet to be satisfied with the outcome of your treatment but it sounds like you have some skin staining which is a well recognised side effect of vein treatment. We do warn all patients of the chance of this happening and the expected timeframe of its resolution. There is nothing that any clinic can do to prevent this happening in some patients. There is nothing that can be done to speed its resolution but it does normally fade away in time.

From the first to the last appointment (3 in all )Dr West and nurse practitioner Helen make you feel at ease. Every thing is explained to you of what procedures will be carried out, and loads of time to ask any questions. The first appointment was for the duplex ultrasound scan total time 30mins approx, the second time was Laser ( EVLA )treatment on both legs 70mins approx, the third appointment was for Foam Sclerotherapy Injections 30 mins approx. In all that time l felt no pain whatsoever. Now the downside the dreaded black stockings which you must ware for 7 days after each treatment. But they will come in handy for keeping me warm playing golf come the wintet.

From the very first conversation to book the appointment until the final procedure, I have found the Vein Centre to be professional and offer an impeccable service! I almost made the fatal mistake of going to a cosmetic surgeon but thankfully saw the surgeon here and realised that would have been a colossal mistake!! Veincentre are absolute professionals and although you have to go twice for treatment, their approach is longer lasting. They are ethical and caring and I just knew I was in safe hands. The first procedure was a little uncomfortable at times but not painful and far better than having the vein stripped out in some old fashioned way! The second procedure was nothing at all to worry about. I am in my mid 30s and I haven't shown my legs in public for over 7 years as the veins were so horrendous. Now I can't wait for the weather to change so I can wear skirts and shorts! The difference in my confidence is overwhelming! Thank you so much!!

I had treatment on varicose veins on both legs and was very pleased with the results. A minimal amount of discomfort from the first treatment and the second foam treatment was pain-free. Quick and efficient service.
